Sportin' it up....

The time has FINALLY come....

Miss Ty is getting after the (somewhat) organized sports FUN!!!

She has been waiting for this moment since Trey first started playing sports...each and every time she's headed to one of his practices or games she has stood on the sidelines, just itching to get in and participate...

Today was the first session and she had a blast meeting all the other kids & filling up her equipment bag....they seriously are set with all types of beginner balls/bats/gloves! Picking out her bat color was almost as exciting as the actual hitting :)

So, here's to all the baseball throwin', basketball dribblin', and soccer ball kickin'....it's going to be an awesome time!!!

Have a blast, Big Girl!!

XOXOX

Oh, my goodness...

You'd think with it being SPRING BREAK and all, I'd get a little blogging done around here. I sat down about two hours ago with great intentions of catching up.

Well...Pinterest got the best of me tonight.

So, with it going on midnight, I'm FINALLY going to get around to jotting a couple things down. I'm actually tired & seriously just shut the i-Pad down, but quickly wanted to get this funny down before I hit the hay...

I LOVE my munchkins & they keep me a gigglin' like a school girl....

Jason & I took the older two to see The Croods in 3D this afternoon. (More on that tomorrow)

The 3D goggles were a hit...to say the least.

Trey's actually sleeping in his right now..I'm headed into that room of his to slip them off in a second.

But, below is what unfolded a few hours ago before the kiddos hit the sack....

The kiddos were laying on the bed with me as we talked about the movie for the 5th time. Along with talking, the kiddos were drawing on some fun little notepads PaPa Ken had given them...

Trey proceeds to tell me that "when you write in a diary, you shouldn't ever write on the front pages. Instead write on the middle pages, so no one can ever read your secrets." He quickly moves into drawing movie scenes....

Tay poses for a quick shot of her new little gem of a forehead carpet burn (or two), with a huge grin on her face....

We pause for a quick game of tickle torture and then scamper off to bed....

As I'm tucking Ty in, she tells me she needs a few more moments of lamp time so she "can write in the middle pages of her diarrhea..."

I seriously LOVE them!!!

Happy Friday night...or should I say Saturday morning!?!

Easter on wheels....

The kiddos and I headed down to St. Louis for a little impromptu visit with my Grandma Jean (Dad's mom) who's facing a battle of her own. We were gone for about 39 hours, 12 of which were spent in the mini, cruising down the highway. Despite the short visit, we were able to get a lot of quality time in with everyone...and, as usual, it went by waaaay tooooo quickly. (pictures hopefully coming from Aunt Calie soon...I TOTALLY forgot  my camera!!! Can you believe it?!?!)

We made it home around noon on Easter Sunday....the kiddos hopped out of the car and headed straight for the Easter packages from all the out of town grandparents. Packages that had been sitting, waiting patiently to be opened by those little hands for at least two weeks. (I told you the trip wasn't planned...originally we weren't going to travel on Easter weekend.)

Finally!

Goody time!

I couldn't get this girl to look up...that cute bunny cup was just too exciting!

Excited about her ears...

A quick Easter ears pic!!! Can you believe we DID NOT get a picture with the Easter Bunny this year. The week got away from me and, with the last minute travel idea, I TOTALLY spaced it off!!! So, this little bunny ear pic will just have to do!!!

After catching up on hugs and kisses with Daddy...we all headed over to Jason's parents to enjoy a little egg hunting and Easter dinner!

I think it's safe to say that they had a ball....

First egg for Trey-Man!

Ty spotted hers...

Tay didn't let many eggs slip by...

Adding more to that basket....I can't believe how big she's getting. And, look...she has enough hair that it's blowing in the air...sorta!!!

Trey's peace action!!

Getting a final count...

Making sure she didn't miss any...

The Big Cheese!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Me and my Munchkins!!!

The best family shot we were able to get!!!!

What a beautiful day!!! How blessed we were to get the chance to see everyone on Easter weekend! It wasn't a big chunk of time, but at least it was some face time and hugs all around!!! Those moments are just a special as all the others....Love you ALL!!!!

Happy Easter From the Weites!!!!

EGGStravaganza....

hit the Weite House today and it was a TON of FUN!!!

The Kool-Aid, glue, rubber bands, paint brushes, tissue paper, stickers, and, of course, EGGS all ready to go!

Prepping the eggs with a little rubber band action....

Tay adding stickers to her egg....

Dropping it in, gently! (You did a wonderful job, Miss Tay! So patient!!! I think your first Easter egg dying experience was a HUGE success, cracks and all!!

Waiting for the color to set....ALL SMILES!

Love my girls!

I think it's ready....

Scooping the egg out....pretty pink!

More waiting...and more SMILES!

I think it's ready!

Tissue paper egg time....brushing on the glue....

What beautiful eggs!!!!

Picking the perfect piece of paper....

Taking off the rubber bands and stickers. Looking good even though the grape turned out more gray than purple.

Final products!!! Looks perfect to me!

Proud workers....

Getting brave....

Tay finally got her time to pose...remember that nap time and the reasoning for my sweaty pic?!? Yes, I made her take that nap during the middle of dying Easter eggs. (Hey, to my defense, it's the last day of Spring Break and back to the grind in the EARLY AM. No one is wanting to mess up schedules now!!!)

What a FANTASTIC job you three did with the whole dying and decorating eggs things this year. I think these may be our best eggs to date. Way to Go! I had fun and totally LOVED watching you three have fun.

Happy Egg Dying Day!!!

Love you, BUNCHES & BUNCHES!!!!

Spring Break FUN!

Well...Spring Break with three kiddos, 6 and under wasn't much of a crazy and expensive adventure. We didn't travel at all (at least not as a family of five) and actually had SNOW!

Boo! We are SOOOO ready for Spring (weather)....

Nothing but FAMILY FUN TIME.....

Here's a quick recap of a few of the happenings...

  • St. Patty's Day breakfast...

Happy St. Patty's Day!

My first green shamrock pancake! Think it will be lucky?!?!

  • Jason and I hit our first NBA game EVER...and had a little one day excursion "date" up in Minnesota!!! It was great to get a little time to ourselves. Do what we want, when we want?!? Imagine that!!!! I LOVED every second of my time away with the Hubbs (Minus the trip home in the blizzard, "travel not recommended" flashing all over the weather channel, schools closing, 40 mph wind conditions. Pretty sure my knuckles were white from gripping the door handle so tightly. YIKES! Semis and blowing snow DO NOT mix. Great driving, Babe!!)

  • Hit "family swim time" at a local gym, which was super fun, but really just made us that much more ready for summer swimming pool trips!!!!

(Can you even believe that's my BABY?!?! Oh, where is the time going?!?!)

Working on that thumbs up thingy....

  • Hung some window clings...

  • Played outside when the temp actually got above freezing! Don't let that sun fool ya!!! Sidewalk chalk and hop-scotch are always faves! Playing catch is always a must too...

Gotta love Tay's "ups"....

  • Hit up the theater for a little 3D action--The Croods style.....

(Ate a lot of popcorn....a large AND a refill! The kiddos have my popcorn tooth! But, everyone agreed that my popcorn is better than the theaters!!! (It's not as good as my Momma's, but pretty stinkin' close!!!)

  • Got in some sisterly app time....

  • Had at least 10 tea parties....with bunnies, babies, tea, and birthday cake....

  • Colored with markers, crayons, paint, and colored pencils....

Ty's the PRO!

  • Ran a science experiment....

Trey LOVES his new book...(Thanks, Aunt Lori!)

  • And, last but not least, dyed and decorated Easter eggs....

Preppin' our eggs for their dye job! (Please don't mind the sweaty work out shirt....we had just got back from the gym and I had to start this before Tay's nap time. Priorities?!?! Obviously dying eggs with the kiddos and sticking to nap time schedules over showering and make-up!!!! I almost didn't put this pic on here, but I want my munchkins to know that I may not be in all the pics, but I'm always right there having a blast with them!!! We had a great time with those eggs...more to come on those babies....)

Overall, what an AB-FAB time with my little family. As cool as it would have been to travel to some far away destination, with sun and warm temps involved (you all know how much I LOVE the beach), this was just as good, if not better. I know these little cuties are not going to be young forever. Soon they will be busy with their own agendas and family times like these won't happen every day, all day. So, I'm cherishing every single stinkin' moment and making the most out of these youngster days!!!!

Now, BRING on the SPRING weather!!!!
