He's EIGHT!!!

And, I cannot believe it!!! Seems like only yesterday he was running around the yard with his little 18 -month old chubby legs, mastering his one-eyed Popeye wink!!! Oh how time flies!!

So, Trey Man TODAY is YOUR day. To the day, eight years ago, that you joined us in this big old, beautiful world. The day I held you in my arms for the first time!!! 

And, guess what?!? You may be eight, but I'm still holding you in my arms...

Dear Trey, 

You are growing into quite the young man and seem to have sprouted up inches overnight. Your pants are all quickly becoming waaay too short for you... You are very strong willed & seem to know exactly what you want. You're a great big brother (when you're not egging  your sisters on!) and seem to know just about everything there is to know about the eight year-old world of sports right now. You're playing baseball right now & have already asked dad to sign you up for a year of flag football before you move onto  tackle. You still want to wrestle & love nothing more than throwing any kind of ball around and shooting b-ball hoops in the driveway. School's going well, but you seem to be taking after Mommy in the socializing department & sometimes think that you need to be the class clown, bug are definitely working hard to figure out that balance!! Your favorite go-to meal is scrambled egg & cheese roll-ups, believe it or not. Which is the easiest meal for Mommy to make!!! Your Dad and I are so proud of you and love watching you grow up...don't ever forget that! We're always here for you and may not always agree with everything you do, but will always love and support you!!! Lots of hugs and kisses and hugs and more hugs!!!

And, it has happened.

The THING I said would never happen...the thing that goes a little like this...

"By the time the third one comes, you get so behind on life that there are not as many pics and/or her scrapbook never gets done." 

So, as I sit here waiting for my hair (which has been neglected itself since November) appointment, I'm going to right my wrong and get my third cutie's birthday  covered...

And, Miss Tay!!! I DO NOT want you thinking that I've "forgotten" about you because that would NEVER happen. But, it's true...I posted about Trey's 8th birthday before your 3rd birthday, even though your birthday happened first!!! Agh! 

I love you munchkin...please don't take the timing personal!!! 

And, for the record...we all celebrated your birthday THREE times because you're so darn sweet!! 

First stop was Maw-Maw Cindy & Papa Steve's for your Pink & Purple Party...

Then we were off to Great-Grandfather's to see the Meier Crew...

Finally, after a sweet visit full of celebrating & barbershop listening, we headed home & celebrated again...

Dear Tay-Tay,

You have to be the sweetest little three year old on this planet!! You're happy, laid-back and miss independent. You are talking up a storm, using big words, and love to end your sentences with "actually." It's the cutest thing EVER!! You were an absolute breeze to potty train and haven't had a single accident since you said good-bye to diapers. You love to help put away dishes & snuggle with Ellie (the blue elephant) and Ty's bunny baby blankie. You LOVE blueberries & string cheese and almost never turn down an opportunity to color. You have really been into Peppa Pig lately and the rest of us get a kick out of listening to you belly laugh at Peppa's little piggy brother, George. You just think he's the funniest!!! You love bath time & playing dress up, especially with your sis. And, fact is you are the best at playing with your dolls and fairies and getting caught up in your own little imaginary world. You really are, by far, the least needy toddler out of all three. Your little blonde locks are getting so long that it's hard for me to remember that you really didn't have any hair until you were almost two! Jumping in puddles is your favorite and you could swing on the swing set all day. You give the most precious kisses on the cheek with those sweet little lips of yours & say, "Wake me up in the early morning," every single night after books, tuck up, and hugs & kisses time. In fact, I can't remember the last time I went to bed without hearing that out of you. You, without a doubt, light up our world, and want you to always know how special you are!! We wish you a very happy 4th year and are so excited to continue to watch you learn and grow!!!

Happy Mother's Day

To ME!!! 

Yes! That's right! I'm celebrating myself today!!!

Mommyhood is HARD! But it's also the most rewarding thing on this planet!! I love my three little babes more than life itself and couldn't imagine living this life without them....

From the biggies like birthdays and all the "firsts" milestones to the littles like kissing owies & combing hair. 

From the happy moments and fits of laughter to the sad times filled with crocodile tears. 

From the times they test my patience levels like no other to the moments when the stars align and they kill each other with kindness. 

From the times they let me snuggle them x's 1,000 and won't go to bed without a tuck-up & a kiss (or 20) to the moments when they can't stomp away loud enough & mumble under their breaths.

All I know is that I wouldn't trade a single second of any of it in....

Mommyhood makes me whole & fills my heart with the truest form of 110% unconditional love....

I had a great time spending the day at the ballpark with my crew and relishing in all things Mommy!!! 

And, I loved all my special, straight from the heart, gifts from my sweeties...the things that are better than any amount of money can buy...
