Miss Tay Tay was....

NINE months old on the 13th of December!!

Yes, I definitely know that I'm a little late....but, between some computer issues (thanks Marshall for coming to the rescue), the ins & outs of the Christmas hustle and bustle, and my little bought with a freak case of yucky cellulitis, I'm finally getting around to jotting down her nine month info...

Miss Tay....

You were 21 pounds and 29 inches long at your 9 month well-baby checkup. You've got four teeth completely popped through....two on top & two on the bottom. You have quickly gone from army crawling around everywhere to getting up on all fours. You are dong an ab fab job of feeding yourself little puffs, mashed taters, little pieces of noodles, mashed carrots, peas, banana, cheerios, and just about anything you can get your hands on. You're still drinking 4-5 six oz bottles a day and have mastered "da-da" like no other. You are waving Hi and Bye and are LOVING playing ball. It took you forever to finally let go of the ball, but now that you know how, you don't wanna stop. You are quickly outgrowing your carrier and I love looking at your cute little piggies hanging over the edge. Watching you give your Daddy those adorable little open-mouthed baby kisses is one of my favorite sights. You are sleeping in your bed like a big girl and still sometimes like to wake up in the middle of the night. You love taking naps with Daddy and definitely have him wrapped around your cute little finger. You had an absolute blast with all the wrapping paper and tags at Christmas and have the cutest little way of pulling our hands onto your head and face...your own little version of cuddling!!! The sippy cup is the next thing on your to-do list...which you are getting so much better with...drenched would be the perfect way to describe the front of your shirt the first time you got your hands on that thing!!! You are, without a doubt, and absolute huge ray of SUNSHINE in our lives and we get the most joy out of watching you learn 1,000 new things each and every day!!!

Love you Bunches & Bunches baby girl!!!!!

~Christmas Fun 2011~

Christmas 2011 has been extremely relaxing and very low key. Jason and I did not travel this year with the three kiddos beyond ONE MILE down the road, and, although I missed the fun holiday Christmas Eve & Christmas Day hoopla in StL with my family tremendously, I do have to say that this travel free holiday season has been amazing. There's nothing quite like waking up on Christmas morning and watching our three beautiful kiddos sprint down the hallway  (okay, two sprinting and one crawling) to check out their loot from Santa....and, considering this was our first Christmas in our new home, it was definitely one to remember!!! (Even with the little pitter-patter of footsteps up & down the hallway at 4:30 am....little footsteps that just had to "peek" and see if Santa actually came. It was AMAZING how those little feet didn't really "peek" yet were able to guess EXACTLY what Santa left near the tree...and, how when we asked how he knew, he said he "heard" the chains on the bike on the roof with Santa....bahahaha....oh, how innocent and fun!!)

So, as I run through a little picture recap of the excitement, I realize just how much I cherish these new sweet memories with each one of my children and LOVE just how sweet life is. It really is about all the little things and all the times together!!! They are definitely my everything....

Merry Christmas to each and every one of you and here's to a fantastic end to 2011.....to all of our family & friends we didn't get to see, don't ever forget just how close you are in spirit in each and every thing we do. We may be far apart in distance, but never in our hearts! Lots of LOVE and plenty of Holiday wishes being sent in your direction.....

One of Tony and Elfie's acrobatic moves....they definitely found the most interesting places to "land" this year! Thanks again, you two, for keeping and eye on Trey & Ty and letting them give you a recap of each and every day!!!

Early Christmas with the Dixon's....they headed off for a 10 day stint in Australia this year for the holidays! Nothing like spending the holidays on the beach and zip lining through the rain forest.....we know they are having a ball....

Damen and Trey checking out the name tag....

Trey waiting to leave...heading out with Grandma Marcia and Jason for a little din-din....

This is classic....camera is set on timer as it rests on Jason's back bumper and Taylen drops her glove just as the camera snaps away....PRICELESS!!!!

What snail is going to cross the finish line last?!?! Can you guess???

I seriously can't believe Christmas 2011 has come and gone and 2012 is right around the corner. As the holiday ends, all I want to do is spend every waking second relaxing with the kiddos....and, of course, start taking down those Christmas decorations!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Quack, Quack!

Miss Taylen has really been enjoying bath time lately...of course, now that she can sit up and actually play with all the toys, it is a lot more fun! She's the third kiddo to have some fun in the big, yellow ducky...and it's been a hit with all three!! I'll have to do some diggin' for a little comparison picture fun!!

What a big girl she's getting to be!! I can't believe she'll be NINE months in two days!!!

Rub-a-Dub....

Showin' of those two bottoms and those big old blues....(I still can't believe I have a blue-eyed baby girl!!)

Have fun, Miss Taylen Jae!!! Pretty soon you'll be too stinkin' big for that thing....

QUACK, QUACK!!!

THANKFUL Thanksgiving!

What a beautiful word!!!!

As the 2011 Thanksgiving holiday has, oh too quickly, come and gone, I wanted to share a few pictures from our awesome St. Louis visit and do a little THANKFUL reflecting of my own....

I'm so incredibly THANKFUL for....
  • My three beautiful, healthy, bright, curious, and life-loving kiddos....
  • My amazing husband who keeps me grounded and inspires me to always be the best me I can possibly be....
  • My parents, all four of them, who have always loved me and supported me unconditionally through ALL phases of life and who will always be there no matter what....
  • My siblings who remain "close" even though they are far away and the fact that when we get together, it's like we've never been apart....
  • My grandparents, near and far, who continue to show me what life is always about and always put family first....I have the BEST memories of growing up...from catching, boiling, and picking crabs in Coden to fun family get-togethers out on the farm. That's what life is all about!!
  • My aunts, uncles, and cousins who always make reunions rock and who are all very successful at whatever it is they put their mind to...proof that any dream is possible....
  • My in-laws who welcomed into the family from the get-go....
  • My friends who've defined each and every stage of my life...from friends I haven't seen in a while to friends I see all the time, you all mean more to me than you'll ever know....
That list doesn't even come close to summing up the true feelings in my heart and soul....life really is good and it's the people in your life that really add the zest!!! Possessions and money will come and go, but the experiences, memories, and true relationships are all what makes it worth living....enjoy it, celebrate it, and cherish it...for, as we know, things can change in an instant!!!

So THANK YOU to all my THANKFULS!!!
