The Long Awaited....

SWINGING time has FINALLY come. And the kids can't get enough....

Back around Easter, when Jason's sister, Lyn, was up visiting from Louisiana, she surprised the kids with a new playground set for the backyard. They've been PUMPED ever since and Daddy & Grandpa Ken finally got the thing up and running. They are in HEAVEN and I LOVE having them in the backyard enjoying a little swinging, sliding, and (low to the ground) monkey barring. The swing set, AMAZINGLY, came in two fairly long and extremely skinny boxes. There wasn't a person that believed that all the parts were actually inside those boxes. One look at the section of the directions that stated that it would take 14-19 hours to assemble and Jason knew he was in for a ball of "fun!"

Well, a few weeks, a couple Sunday afternoons, and about three long weeknights later, the kiddos were in business and every second of the wait was worth it!! After a few family talks and brainstorming sessions, we came up with a set of swing set safety rules and, each and every day since they got the green light to play on that thing, they kiddos haven't missed an opportunity to get out and enjoy it. Even Miss Tay LOVES to just swing and watch the big kids have a ball...it's been PERFECT!!!
Just look at these faces....

The Weite kiddos definitely say THANKS, Aunt Lyn, for such an awesome gift!!! I know the three of them will have many, many fun times in their little clubhouse and couldn't be more grateful. I'm even going to get "crafty" and make them a sign for the side...won't that be cute?!?! What a perfect addition to the backyard!

The Kids Had Been....

Waiting for their visit with Aunt Lyn (Jason's sister from down in LA) for at least two weeks. They were so excited to see her in person!! Tylee hadn't seen her since she was about 6 months old, so she was definitely excited and Trey hadn't seen her since he was almost three. They've been wanting to go to her house for at least five months, but luckily, she made the trip up to Iowa and we spent the entire weekend with her, her friend Randall, and Jason's mom & dad.

It was a busy, busy, busy weekend to say the least. The kids (and Lyn) were non-stop practically the entire time and they enjoyed every single second of their time together. (A weekend of staying up late with NO NAPS always means every one's having a fabulous time!!!)

Here's just an example of everything Trey & Tylee did in two days....

*Fed the ducks
*Played at the Park
*Watched HOP at the Movie Theater
*Gulped down Slushies
*Painted ceramic Easter Eggs
*Played Go Fish!
*Laughed
*Played Soccer in the Yard
*Visited Chuck E. Cheese
*Blew THOUSANDS of Bubbles
*Colored
*Visited Toy's R Us & Played with Everything
*Played Tag in the Yard
*Cried
*Watched Yogi Bear
*Played Uno
*Dug through bags of Easter Goodies
*Laughed some More
*Road the Pink & Purple Big Wheel
*Slept (a LITTLE)

Quite a bit for my little Munchkins, but we seriously couldn't have asked for a better weekend.....

*WARNING*: below you will stumble across MAJOR picture OVERLOAD (I know that's so unusual for me....ha, ha!!)

Tylee SOOOOO ready to go feed the ducks....

Headed down towards the ducks....Tylee was in charge of the bread while Trey enjoyed the ride.....

Tylee and Aunt Lyn....

Tylee's turn to ride...what a great job sharing!!!

Needing a little push...funny how Tylee finally got a turn to ride when there was an uphill part to our route!!

Randall, Trey, Lyn, and Tylee waiting for the truck to pass....

Feeding the ducks and swans....they weren't to hungry. We later found out that there was another food source left behind by someone else! We still had fun though!!!

Tylee and Lyn pointing at the swan....so fun!!

Trey & Tylee throwing bread. I'm super surprised no one took a nose dive into the water!!

Tylee getting a little "ride" back!! Thanks, Randall!!

Bubble Time!!!

Spin, Spin, Spin....Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles!!!

Spin, Bubbles, and accidently dumping some out of the tube....oops!! Still fun though!!!

Trey spent more time chasing the bubbles....and it was super windy!!!

Ready to blow some more....watch everyone!!!

Spinning until she got dizzy & fell down....over and over again!!!

Miss Taylen all wide-eyed taking it all in.....busy!!

SOOOO much to check out!!!

Tylee painting her egg and bunny.....BEAUTIFUL!!!

Thanks Aunt Lyn for the wonderful visit!!!! The kids haven't stopped talking about it since we left and, of course, wore those crazy glasses to school and had to show everyone!!! Be sure to look for some letters in the mail!! Glad you made it home safely and found a little shelter during the crazy, crazy storms on your way back. Can't wait until our next visit!! Sending Lots of Love.....
