Ringing in 2012....

Weite style.....was just as relaxing as the entire 2011 Christmas season.

Jason grilled up some steaks and we all played games, laughed together, and had a fun time reflecting on all the great things that happened for our family in 2011. The kiddos even stayed up to watch the ball drop (even if it was the New York New Year extravaganza at 11 pm central time.) They definitely didn't know the difference, enjoyed the heck out of the countdown, and were extremely eager to hit the hay as soon as the on-screen confetti settled.

Tylee and Grandma Marcia all wrapped up in a fun game of Candy Land...thanks for hanging with us for a little bit, Grandma. We always love spending time with you!!!

Trey taking a little game break...

Sequence for Kids is definitely one of our favorites!!!

Trey contemplating his next move....too funny!!! (He's definitely got his Mommy & Daddy's competitive spirit!!)

Ty making sure she keeps three cards in her hands at all times!!! (And, it was soooo cute as Ty pulled her cards and wanted to tell everyone what she got. When we told her to keep it a secret and not tell others what animals she had, she proceeded to *whisper* and eventually *mouth* the animal she drew each time. She's definitely our share-er and gets just as excited for the person who wins as they do for themselves. What a sweetie!!!)

Miss Tay enjoying her first New Year's ever....waving to her Daddy across the table...

As I tucked the three of them in that evening and settled down myself, I couldn't help but smile and realize just how blessed we were in 2011. We've undergone major life changes over the past year and couldn't be happier. Things were challenging at times, but, oh so worth it. We truly are excited to see what the New Year holds for us and plan on living each and every day to the fullest! We are a team and know that we are on this beautiful life journey together...embracing each and every day!!!

Happy New Year from The Weite House!!!
